Regardless of income, any student who wants to be considered for federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs—including grants, scholarships, work-study, and more—should complete the FAFSA.
1. Prep before filing.
Before you begin, there are a couple of things you can do to prepare.
First, you and your parent(s) will each need to register for your own FSA ID using social security numbers (SSN) and unique email addresses.

Next, gather the information and documents you’ll need handy while filling out the FAFSA—like SSNs, tax returns, and driver’s license numbers.
2. Fill out the FAFSA.
When you’re ready, log into fafsa.gov to fill out the 2024-25 FAFSA. It takes most people less than one hour.

3. Apply to Be a Greyhound.
If you haven’t already, submit your application to Assumption! Applying is simple—no fee or test scores required. You’ll be automatically considered for scholarships up to $33,000 and receive an admission decision within two weeks.
